* The role will involve regular travel, overnight stays in other parts of the country will be required. Therefore, flexibility and a full clean driving license is essential.
* This is a temporary role for 18 months that can be based anywhere in the UK.

* What you'll do
* Collecting, collating and communicating KPI data to schedule
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation
* Leading and contributing to the development and implementation of quality standard operating procedures
* Contributing to Retail HACCP teams; reviewing, updating and maintaining HACCP systems and procedures
* Investigating and following through non-compliance and incidents relating to enforcement and serious food safety complaints
* Liaising with the Regional Technical Manager and Retail team to ensure customer complaints and investigations are handled and completed correctly
* Ensuring microbiological sampling and data management is completed as directed
* Ensuring allergen controls are appropriate and that labelling is legally compliant
* Taking responsibility for raising the standards of hygiene and microbiological performance with operation
* Liaising with Pest Control contractors to ensure commitments are met and to raise awareness of issues
* Liaising with local Authority Representatives to provide problem resolution
* Contributing to training activities where necessary
We are looking for individuals who are driven, and can demonstrate:
* A Degree or HNC level education in a Food Science based subject
* HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications
* Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience working in a technical based food safety role in a production or retail background
* Proven experience in investigations and internal audits with strong attention to detail
* Proven experience of leadership, decision making and report writing
* A result focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others
