Job Description
Temporary Accounts Assistant:
1. Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts receivable data.
2. Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits.
3. Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and accurately posted.
4. Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
5. Ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
6. Performing account reconciliations in a timely manner.
7. Providing support and assistance to company personnel.
8. Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries.
The Successful Applicant
Temporary Accounts Assistant:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
2. Knowledge of relevant accounting software, ideally Xero.
3. An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
4. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
5. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Immediate availability.
