Travel Manager
Excellent opportunity to join an established and growing Travel business as a Travel Manager based in the Leeds area. This role will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing a small team of experienced Travel Consultants. This is a varied role and will include the management of Sales, Service, and Administration functions, whilst making sure the highest level of service is offered to the customers. This is an exciting time to join the business as they are expanding the business and team. This role will be office-based in the Leeds area but there is some flexibility on this and will be working Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm and approx 1 weekend per month. This role offers a basic salary up to £30,000 along with other benefits including 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, overseas trips, and free onsite parking.
Travel Manager Responsibilities
1. Oversee a small team, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded across multiple channels, including sales calls, web enquiries, and social media platforms.
2. Manage customer service and administrative operations including invoicing, ticketing, and customer correspondence.
3. Develop sales activities targeting the local community through leaflets, adverts, brochures, and by attending events and fairs.
4. Work closely with the Marketing Manager to build a loyal customer base through innovative retention strategies and initiatives.
5. Assisting clients with bookings and offering a personalised service.
Travel Manager Skills Required
1. MUST have experience working in travel either within Retail Travel, Tour Operations either as a Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Leader, or Supervisor.
2. Confident leading and developing a team to achieve both personal and business targets.
3. Customer focused with the ability to create a personalised customer experience and ensuring all paperwork within the team is completed to the highest level.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external clients and suppliers.
5. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan and manage a busy varied workload.
