Do you have Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent?
In these Monday to Friday, Catering Supervisor posts, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervising staff working in the kitchen.
2. Ensuring awareness of HACCP Procedures and completing all necessary paperwork and electronic returns.
3. Understanding dietary and nutritional needs with the support of the Hungry for Success Team, who also produce menus and recipes for all meals served in schools.
4. Transporting and serving meals, performing general kitchen and dining room duties (e.g., washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning the kitchen and its surroundings.
We have permanent vacancies to join our teams within Primary Schools in West Fife:
* Foulford Primary School, Cowdenbeath - 30 hours per week on a 38-week contract, between 8:00am to 3:00pm, as required Monday to Friday.
* Limekilns Primary School – 27.5 hours per week on a 38-week contract, between 8:00am to 2:30pm, as required Monday to Friday.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 - pro-rata and annualised payments with access to a range of benefits, including:
* £13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
* Pay is annualised for 38-week contract (equal instalments every 4-week pay period).

* Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car.

Training on in-house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.
The Person
Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent is essential for this post.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
Ability to travel to numerous locations within the specified area of work at short notice.
You will be required to attend a full day of Induction Training before starting in post.
