As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, leveraging your process, domain knowledge, and experience.
This full-time role, comprising 37 hours per week, is based at Whitehaven, Cumbria, with hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home).
The Role
1. Assist in effective management of customer relationships with existing and new customers.
2. Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
3. Contribute to Project Safety Assessment processes.
4. Communicate and manage task and project risks appropriately.
5. Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.
Essential Experience of the Senior Mechanical Engineer
1. Strong Maths skills.
2. Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
3. Demonstrable experience covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
