Data Protection Analyst

VIQU have partnered with a leading professional services company in Southampton who are looking to expand their data teams.
The ideal candidate must hold previous experience with data protection and risk projects, and have experience with reviewing and supporting data protection impact assessments. The candidate will be responsible for oversight of data governance, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Job duties of the Data Protection Analyst:
* Identify data protection risks in the organisation and suggest how to implement improvements.
* Provide first/second line support for reported data breaches.
* Ensure compliance with data protection policies, procedure and controls.
* Educate internal stakeholders on data protection duties.
* Maintain accurate and up to date records of all data processing activities.
* Communicate and collaborate with wider business steams to ensure data privacy practises.
Experience required of the Data Protection Analyst:
* Previous experience working as a data protection analyst or similar.
* Deep understanding of Data Protection Regulations.
* Previously managed data risks and incidents.
* Experience supporting and reviewing data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
* Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
