THE ROLE
The Sales Development Representative is a pivotal role to the business and will work to directly support the Sales and Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Head of Sale and Marketing whilst working closely with the wider Advertising, Seller & Vendor Teams. This position is focused on driving the overall growth of the agency engaging high-value clients on Amazon, and the culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualification: Evaluate prospects against internal qualification criteria to ensure alignment with service offerings both before targeting activity begins and via calls and emails.
Prospect Identification: Identify and source target brands using telephone, email, LinkedIn, and other sales tools, alongside attending trade fairs to meet with potential clients.
Engagement Target Brands: Establish initial contact with prospects through consistent outreach campaigns, supported by automation where appropriate. Utilising our early-stage marketing initiatives including webinars, round tables and similar events to establish and maintain relationships. Travelling to meet clients at trade shows and other industry events where required.
Relationship Building and Nurturing: Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers of on-profile brands until our services become required and an active brief is issued.
Service Selling: Identifying opportunities to sell and upsell entry level services, with and without senior team support.
Transitioning: Seamlessly manage the handover process with senior team when an active brief is issued, and the tender process begins.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* The ability to work both by yourself and as part of a team.
* A fast learner, with the ability to spot opportunities and grab them.
* Based within commutable distance of Leeds and/or Manchester, initially office-based 2/3 days p/week with potential to move to fully flexible working.
* 1 year's experience in a similar sales role, preferably within a digital/marketing agency, or similar, is desired but not essential.
* Be hungry, prospecting for and nurturing new business opportunities that fill our sales funnel with great prospects, hungry to work with us.
* A desire to be a part of something that is growing quickly and on track to be the UK's number one Amazon agency.
