Job Description:
Based at Cambridge, this fast-paced, challenging role will allow you to showcase your commercial construction management experience and further develop these skills on this $100m development. Reporting to the Commercial Site Manager, you will be instrumental in the ongoing construction of the multi-level main building.
This is a 12-month fixed term position.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Establishment, monitoring, and implementation of the construction program
2. Administrative duties including:
o Generation and tracking of RFIs
o Issue Site Instructions
o Contractor coordination
o Managing and implementing construction QA processes
o Updating safety documentation (traffic plans, site-specific plans, contractor compliance documentation)
o Ensure documents are up to date and forwarded to contractors
3. Upholding a 'Zero Harm' culture on site
4. Manage and develop direct reports to ensure all aspects of the project deliverables are controlled.
Who are we looking for?
1. Have a relevant trade qualification (e.g. Advanced Trade Cert Building) or qualification in Construction or Project Management
2. Have significant experience in hands-on site management of commercial developments and contractors
3. Excellent programming ability (MS Project), organisational and negotiation skills
4. Have sound commercial judgement with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
5. Able to lead large teams to a common goal, must have experience coordinating and managing subcontractors on a large-scale project
6. A systems and process-driven construction professional who understands the importance of proper QA and H&S reporting systems
7. An effective and dynamic communicator able to identify and deliver differing communication streams to achieve best results to a large audience
