About the Role:
As a Transformation Lead, you'll be responsible for the programme’s Collaboration workstream that aims to strengthen how the two constabularies work together, and the services that are delivered jointly for both constabularies. This will involve refreshing governance & decision-making structures, designing and embedding a shared understanding of performance for the collaboration, and improving both constabularies ability to deliver transformative change. As programme leadership, you will ensure that programme resources are effectively allocated, progress is tracked and delivered at planned pace, and project’s issues, risks, and dependencies are managed. You will adopt a proactive and can-do approach, removing barriers for the programme team, problem-solving to ensure alignment against the vision & objectives, and ultimately improving our services for the public.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership and management of all work packages related to strengthening the collaboration to achieve the Joint Transformation Programme vision & objectives.
2. Work closely with the Transformation Director to design and implement effective collaboration governance and leadership.
3. Design and implement structured collaboration standardisation and alignment, including best practices for data sharing, resource allocation, benefit tracking, and change management.
4. Define joint operating norms and performance metrics for services, strengthening governance mechanisms for shared resources.
5. Establish a culture of transparency and trust to ensure effective visibility and accountability.
6. Build and sustain capacity and capability within the project teams, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to deliver planned outcomes and objectives.
7. Provide direction and support to Strategic Business Analysts/Business Analysts delivering against the programme objectives.
8. Work closely with other Transformation Managers to promptly identify programme risks and interdependencies, escalating as appropriate.
9. Manage stakeholder communication and engagement to ensure progress is visible across the organisation.
10. Produce regular capability update reports for board meetings.
About You:
* Experience: Significant experience working at a management level in a business planning and change role, managing multiple complex/cross cutting workstreams.
* Skills: Recognised programme / project management practitioner level qualification (or equivalent level experience), and in-depth knowledge of governance, performance management, and change delivery.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven experience of forming and maintaining relationships.
* Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Visio, and Project.
* Attributes: Proven ability to demonstrate effective leadership and people management skills, with experience of developing teams to achieve results.
