Job responsibilities We are looking for a Salaried General Practitioner for 3 sessions per week Poole Town Surgery is a supportive practice serving a patient population of 5000. Our team includes 2 partners, 2 salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), a Practice Nurse, a Healthcare Assistant, and a highly efficient admin team. We are also a teaching practice, regularly hosting F2 doctors. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse patient population. Conduct consultations, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions. Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records using SystmOne. Manage a personal patient list and contribute to the duty rota, covering urgent care and same-day appointments. Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nursing and administrative staff, to ensure smooth and effective patient care. Participate in the supervision and teaching of F2 doctors, sharing knowledge and contributing to their training and development. Complete necessary administrative tasks such as reviewing test results, referrals, and prescriptions. Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the practice. Adhere to practice policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with CQC standards. What Were Looking For: Fully qualified GP, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the GP register. Experience in primary care with a strong commitment to patient care. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Someone who is proactive, organised, and able to manage their workload efficiently. Comfortable with paperwork and able to handle occasional IT challenges. A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the overall development of the practice.
