We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Business Tax team as an assistant manager in Tunbridge Wells, which is responsible for tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients. The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients. You will also provide assistance primarily to Managers and Senior Managers in supporting with the delivery of client work. You will be involved in special assignments and advisory projects on an ad hoc basis.
Key Skills and Experience
* Relevant tax experience gained within the profession or industry
* Technically capable tax adviser who is able to assist in complex client work
* Exemplary organisational and communication skills
* Keen to learn more and expand technical knowledge
* Strong IT skills including practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Starting to gain staff management/mentoring/supervisory experience
* Ability to motivate staff to ensure best performance
* Demonstrable ability to organise self and others, such that you can work on several different assignments at one time
* Strong communication skills in order to liaise with clients, directors, staff and other professionals
* Ability to pro-actively monitor costs against budget for individual clients
* Demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegation of work
* Demonstrable experience of managing people
* Proven project management skills
* Evidence of managing a small client portfolio
