The Role
NHS Lanarkshire are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team. Following internal change, we are seeking two new Learning and Organisational Development Managers to join our small team.
These roles offer the opportunity to design, develop and deliver initiatives to ensure our staff feel valued, motivated, and supported in their careers.
Reporting directly to the Head of Organisational Development, the roles offer an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills, whilst delivering programmes and learning that have a direct impact on improving our staff, services and patient care.
While the roles will work closely together and collaborate on a daily basis, there are two key portfolios with each manager having specific deliverables to achieve.
Focusing on Leadership, Learning and Change, this post will lead the design, development and delivery of leadership development, succession planning, team development, change management and learning initiatives. You will ideally have experience of working with senior level staff (General Managers/Heads of Service/Directors). This role requires an experienced manager that is driven and motivated by introducing new and innovative approaches leading to successful change.
Focusing on Staff Experience, culture and values, this post will lead the delivery of organisational culture change whilst improving staff experience. Working with colleagues across the OD team and beyond, you will develop approaches and initiatives to ensure our staff embody our values through the day to day work and interactions. This, newly refined role offers the opportunity to drive forward transformational change across the organisation, building confidence around the systems, structures and processes to support and ensure positive staff wellbeing.
These are key leadership roles within a small team that has big ambitions to deliver best in practice for all our staff.

* Educated to Masters level and /or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
* Professional qualifications appropriate to post e.g. member of CIPD, accredited in psychometric tools.
* Be a qualified coach.

* Demonstrate advanced practice skills and contemporary knowledge of organisational culture/ leadership development and learning theories and how these apply in practice.
* Understanding of and experience of working in a large, complex, multi-site organisation.
* Have a strong customer focus and a positive can do attitude.
* Hold a current UK driving licence

What we'll need you to bring

* Advanced listening skills to interpret difficult and challenging messaging regarding people and persuading people to change practice.
* Demonstrate advanced practice skills and contemporary knowledge of organisational / leadership development and learning theories and how these apply in practice.
* Evidence of leadership and management skills.
* Understanding of and experience of working in a large, complex, multi-site organisation.
* Be able to evidence excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
* Be able to demonstrate strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure, balancing priorities and working to set timescales.
* Have a strong customer focus and a positive can do attitude.
* Good PC skills - ability to use Microsoft software to a high standard.
* Car Driver to be able to travel between sites in Lanarkshire.
