We are looking for a highly motivated Ward Manager with a strong clinical knowledge base to manage Clwyd Ward. Clwyd Ward is a 20-bedded medical ward specialising in Elderly Care. You will work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and offer support to families, which is a key role in ensuring the best possible care is given to the patients on this ward. Main duties of the job
This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and demonstration of evidence-based clinical practice. The candidate should also be a qualified mentor with recognised mentor qualifications and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking, and able to use your own initiative while also having the ability to work under pressure. You must possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills and demonstrate a keen interest in Elderly Care and Dementia Care. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working that facilitate developments in nursing practice, as well as being self-motivated and committed to improving service delivery with a flexible approach to the needs of the service. We expect you to be dedicated with a positive attitude and the ability to provide patients with excellent service.
You will receive support in your new role and will be encouraged in further development. You will gain experience in directly leading and managing staff with clear guidelines and goals.
