Are you passionate about supporting women who have offended to turn their lives around? Do you have the skills, experience and aptitude to make a difference to the lives of women and their families?
Stepping Stones (Luton) is a local charity looking to recruit a full-time (35 hours a week) Women’s Support Practitioner who has experience of working with vulnerable women and women with complex needs.
You may already be working in the women’s sector in a similar voluntary sector role, but equally you may come from related fields; perhaps criminal justice, welfare to work, housing, or social care.
Whatever your background, you’ll need to hit the ground running! The role is hugely rewarding, but busy and demanding so you’ll need to be able to manage your time well, keep a calm head, and have a good knowledge of issues affecting women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care procedures, and relevant legislation.
What’s most important though is that you’re able to motivate and inspire your clients, working collaboratively alongside colleagues and partner agencies to deliver great services day in and day out.
Salary: £23,420 starting salary dependent upon experience
