The Role:
As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee maintenance operations, ensuring the optimal condition, cost, and efficiency of the site’s assets. This role requires a mix of administrative and hands-on involvement (approximately 80/20 split), making it ideal for candidates looking to progress into a management role.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Maximizing production performance by maintaining and optimizing plant equipment.
2. Implementing a structured preventative maintenance program to support business objectives.
3. Leading and motivating a multiskilled maintenance team, ensuring accountability and addressing performance issues where necessary.
4. Enhancing operational efficiency by minimizing waste and improving energy usage.
5. Collaborating with senior management on site operations, capital projects, and budget control.
The Person:
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following:
1. A strong electrical bias with robust mechanical abilities.
2. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
3. Confidence to lead by example, work independently, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on achieving results.
