Project Engineer – FMCG – London/Scotland
Day rate: £400 – £550 inside IR35
Duration: 12 months
Start: ASAP
Hybrid: 2/3 days on site in London or Scotland
My new client is looking for a Project Engineer with Programme management experience working within a large FMCG organisation. This role more specifically will support their digital Supply Chain initiative driving specific work streams for Operational technology infrastructure improvements.
Baseline project engineering requirements:
1. Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with other internal teams such as Operations.
2. Use of specialist knowledge to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
3. Development of cost estimates and project schedules.
4. Managing efficient spend for capex projects.
5. Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
6. Management of the project life cycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data including spend and forecast and project closure.
7. Manage and overseeing commissioning activities.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.
9. Exceptional Stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively and proactively with cross functional teams and internal customers regarding plans, products, issues, time lines and solution value.
10. Programme management experience within large FMCG organisation(s) (preferred)
Specialist Skills
1. Manufacturing Executions Systems delivery knowledge & experience demonstrating extensive experience with IT/OT integration.
2. Packaging Machinery, Line Management & Control Systems delivery knowledge & experience.
3. Server Hardware, Virtualisation & Industrial Networking Technologies project delivery knowledge & experience.
4. Manufacturing cybersecurity risk management experience.
5. Continuous Process Control systems project delivery experience.
6. Proficiency reviewing solution designs using logical and physical diagrams.
Education
1. Degree qualified in science/engineering discipline.
2. Recognised Project Management competence certification.
