Location: Travel is required across Ireland and working from home is allowed when not traveling (attending to the office of your convenience - Dublin, Cork, Galway, or Dundalk - may be required)

Due to our client's continued growth and exciting project pipeline, they are looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to add to their Health & Safety Consulting team. Gaia's client is renowned for an array of significant projects across the Buildings, Water, Aviation, Energy, Transportation, and Rail markets. The Health and Safety Consulting team based in Ireland currently employs full-time specialist consultants who deliver high-quality safety advisory services to in-house multidisciplinary teams and clients, particularly in roles fulfilling the duties of PSDP.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fulfilling the duties of the PSDP as outlined in the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
* Review of designs and designer risk assessments with regard to compliance with H+S legislation.
* Attendance at design coordination meetings, and site & stakeholder meetings.
* Coordination of residual hazards and risks.
* Provision of competent advice to clients and designers for compliance with legislation and best practice.
* Provision of safety support to internal and external teams for projects of varying scale and complexity.
* Management of contractor safety and review of contractor safety documentation.
* Management of dedicated projects including finance requirements of dedicated projects.
* General health and safety consultancy services to clients.
* Health and safety support as part of project bids.
* Provide technical support to all office projects in the areas of design safety including coordination of design safety.
* Developing existing and new clients as part of our 'win work' strategy.
* Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organization's policies.
* Assisting the QSSE team with continuous improvement of safety culture and assisting with key safety programmes.
Skills and Experience:
* Sound knowledge of safety in design and construction safety.
* Experience in developing and improving company safety policies, culture, and systems.
* Competent report writing with good time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and manage tasks concurrently across several projects.
* Flexible to travel to sites and projects within Ireland.
Your Qualifications:
* Relevant Health and Safety Degree/Diploma qualifying for membership of IOSH or Engineering Degree recognized by Engineers Ireland with post qualification Safety specific training.
* Certificate of attendance at Engineers Ireland/ACEI PSDP CPD training.
