Teaching Assistant
Location: Oldham
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support students in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide classroom support to teachers, helping to deliver engaging lessons.
2. Work with small groups or one-to-one to support students who need extra help.
3. Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
4. Encourage positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.
5. Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
6. Support students with special educational needs (SEN), adapting resources where necessary.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable.
2. A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is preferred but not essential.
3. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting students.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
5. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).
6. A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
