Location: Salford (Home/Office - Hybrid - The team currently go in twice a week)
Salary: £39,800- £55,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for commissioning digital curriculum led content for teachers and a 5-16 year old audience.
* Responsible for leading on the commissioning process from brief through to deliverables.
* Ensuring that the editorial vision is communicated and understood and be responsible for project management such as the construction of a full production schedule and budget in conjunction with Production Management and others.
* You'll be responsible for ensuring that the content reflects our diverse audience and where relevant, liaise with the Rights team and contract negotiators to ensure copyright and contracts adhere to BBC regulations.
* Develop and manage positive working relationships with indies and commissioners. Give constructive feedback and seek improvements in content production to develop further efficiencies in working practices.
* Furthermore, you'll be accountable for the compliance and delivery of content, acting within BBC Editorial, Legal and Health & Safety guidelines.
Are you the right candidate?
* You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of commissioning digital curriculum content for Teachers or a 5-16 year old audience.
* A good understanding of the primary and secondary school curriculum.
* You'll have experience of planning and organising with the ability to manage several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
* You'll have sound editorial judgement and a thorough knowledge of editorial and legal guidelines and proven experience of taking ideas from concept to finished product whilst driving forward creativity.
* You will have experience of working with indies and commissioners and feel confident managing those working relationships.
* You will be confident writing briefs and leading the commissioning process from concept through to deliverables.
