THE ROLE
As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their customer behaviour through deep data analysis and predictive modelling. You’ll leverage tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, and Hadoop to build and deploy models that influence customer strategy across areas like propensity, churn, segmentation, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and deploying statistical and machine learning models to support client objectives
* Working end-to-end on analytics projects, from discovery through to insight delivery
* Translating complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
* Collaborating within cross-functional project teams across data science, strategy, and consulting
* Supporting junior team members and contributing to best practices
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
* Solid experience working with customer data and applying predictive modelling techniques
* Proficiency in SQL, Python/PySpark, and exposure to big data environments such as Hadoop
* Commercial experience in the FMCG or retail space is highly desirable
* Previous experience working in a consultancy or client-facing role is a plus
* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex findings for senior stakeholders
* A degree in a STEM subject or related field
