An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-agency Kent Community Safety Team on a part-time basis providing high level administrative and secretarial support to assist in the smooth running and day-to-day functioning of the team.
The Kent Community Safety Team consists of staff from Kent County Council and Kent Police and you will be supporting both agencies in the co-ordination, development and implementation of community safety strategies and initiatives.
Educated to NVQ 2-3 / GCSE (or equivalent) you will undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and have excellent organisation, numeracy and communication skills. You will be computer literate with an eye for detail to produce accurate work.
You should have experience of working within an office environment in an administrative support role and be confident in performing office duties including arranging meetings, managing mailboxes, undertaking procurement and taking minutes as required. You will be able to work well within a busy team dealing confidently with non-routine tasks, prioritising work and demonstrating flexibility.
This is a permanent part-time position and we will provide IT equipment to enable you to work flexibly from both home and office. The team has a hybrid model of working with some days in the office and some days working from home. There is an expectation to work in the office at least one day a week (currently Thursdays) with the potential to work more frequently from the office if appropriate. Our offices are based primarily in Maidstone but may on occasion require travel to other offices/locations for meetings or events.
