Part-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
Location: Anfield, Liverpool
Hours: Wednesday 12.30pm - 3.30pm, Thursday & Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. The role is specifically to support a child with special educational needs (SEN) and requires a caring, patient, and proactive individual who is committed to providing the best possible educational experience for our youngest learners.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to a child in the EYFS with additional learning needs. Your role will involve both academic and emotional support, ensuring that the child is fully included in all aspects of school life. You will also assist in implementing strategies outlined in the child's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and monitor their progress.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual support for a child with SEN, ensuring that they can access the curriculum and participate fully in class activities.
Assist with the development and implementation of tailored learning strategies and interventions.
Support the child's social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and other professionals to monitor the child's progress and adjust support as needed.
Assist with classroom routines and contribute to the general organisation of the class.
Promote positive behaviour and support the child in developing effective communication and social skills.
Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and contribute to regular reviews of their learning plan.Essential Criteria
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within an Early Years setting.
A patient, understanding, and nurturing approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
A sound understanding of child development and the specific needs of children in the EYFS.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
