Main purpose of the role:
You will be managing the IT and telephony infrastructure of a busy head office based in Wimbledon and the second office in Basingstoke, whilst also supporting remote technology used by our Nurses and Carers working in the community. This position will involve hands-on support.
We are a people orientated business so someone with great intra-personal skills who can positively support our nurses and carers with technology issues whilst they continue to deliver good quality care.
You will have working experience of a similar role coupled with a methodical and structured approach to the work, as well as an intertest in developing internal process and procedures in all aspects of IT. Managing one IT Support Administrator.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To support the Senior Leadership Team by aligning the IT infrastructure to achieve current and future business requirements
To analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop solutions for IT needs
Build relationships across the business by providing IT support, including but not limited to network administration and onboarding of new employees
Take ownership of business continuity and disaster recovery plan for IT
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Ownership of the IT budget for OPEX and CAPEX. Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
Manage one IT Support Administrator by providing ongoing coaching and development
Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
Liaise with and manage IT third party suppliers as required
Provide IT support for company projects when needed alongside hands on support
Ensure smooth implementation of policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure
Other Duties:
A degree of flexibility is necessary based on business needs. The job holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and which will be appropriate to the level of the role.
About You:
An ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience, skills, and attributes. Please note that these competencies are not ranked in order of priority. Following criteria will be used in selecting a candidate.
Relevant qualification/certification in Information Technology
Displaying composure, patience, and excellent customer service skills, with the capability to provide immediate solutions
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
Familiarity with our software platforms but not limited to Microsoft 365, Okta, BT Cloud, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Operating systems, WordPress CMS and SOTI.
Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Car driver preferred
