The Education and Research Group supports and facilitates education and research activity across Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering (MPCE). The Group supports PTP, STP, and HSST trainees within MPCE. It works closely with Oxford University for teaching and assessing on the undergraduate medical physics option within the Department of Physics and the MSc in Medical Physics with Radiobiology within the Department of Oncology. Research activity across MPCE is also supported in terms of local research and that funded from charity, government, and industrial funders. There are collaborations with Oxford University's Big Data Institute and Institute of Biomedical Engineering as well as Cardiff University's School of Medicine.
Main Duties of the Job
The main role of this post is to provide education and training support for the MPCE department and SE region, particularly for STP trainees. It will be possible to combine this role with some time in the post-holder's specialist area to maintain clinical skills.
This post is for 12 months in the first instance. Post holders must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Scientist.

* HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist
* Relevant MSc or higher degree
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience supervising and assessing STP trainees
Skills
* Ability to assess and analyse complex medical physics or clinical engineering issues requiring analysis and interpretation

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 a year per annum / pro rata
