Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS lead practitioner to be based at our Walsoken setting. Relevant level 3 early years childcare qualification will be required as a minimum.
Hours: Between 7.30am – 4.30pm – over 4 days; cover may be required for holidays and sickness. The job role is based working within our 2-4 years rooms whilst assisting to support our under 1s as required.
First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications would be an advantage; however, training will be offered to gain knowledge of these.
SEN knowledge and experience preferred; however, training will be provided to work alongside the setting SENCO to ensure children’s individual needs are being met and supported.
Applicants are required to have a sound knowledge of EYFS and statutory framework, with an understanding of planning in the moment and ethos such as curiosity and hygge.
You must have a caring, supportive nature, be fun and enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to develop within the setting. Ability to work alone or within a team, meet deadlines, and attend training and meetings with a willingness to learn, develop, and grow.
An ability to lead a team to ensure consistency and progress for everyone within the setting, with a nurturing personality, a big smile, and dedication to changing children’s lives. Someone who enjoys and encourages outdoor play and assists in promoting a healthy and positive environment. You will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring they thrive both socially and emotionally.
Good communication and organisational skills are required to enable an effective work environment for children and their families as well as staff, working together to provide a safe and secure environment to facilitate individual needs where children are engaged in stimulating, fun, and educational play activities, ensuring routines are upheld within a busy environment.
