Position Overview:
The Sales Leader / Client Director will lead a regional team of Inside Account Executives and Account Managers in identifying, targeting, selling, and closing new solutions business both at existing and new clients for Zones. This role involves strengthening client relationships, supporting growth initiatives, and entering new markets by leading a team focused on selling Zones’ product and service solutions. As a people manager, you will foster an empowered, effective team aligned with business results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and daily direction to Account Managers and Account Executives, including pipeline and performance management and reporting.
* Lead proactively with preparation, precision, and strategic planning.
* Develop strategies and market plans, identifying new product/service offerings within the assigned territory.
* Foster a high-performing, empowered team aligned with business results.
* Drive activities to strengthen client relationships, support growth, and explore new markets by leading a team selling core IT products, advanced technology, SaaS, lifecycle services, global fulfillment, and LOB solutions.
* Create strategies to grow existing client solutions and acquire new clients in the territory.
* Manage customer portfolios to meet revenue, profit, and contribution quotas.
* Use industry knowledge to identify prospects and secure meetings with decision-makers.
* Build meaningful business relationships with prospects and partners at the executive level to promote Zones’ brand and capabilities.
* Generate new business through proposals, presentations, and targeted meetings.
* Achieve and exceed individual sales quotas, contributing to company goals.
* Execute detailed account planning and strategic selling initiatives.
What you will bring to the team:
* At least 2 years of sales management experience within the IT industry.
* At least 5 years of direct sales experience.
* Proven success in implementing sales growth strategies and strategic planning.
* A track record of meeting financial goals and sales objectives.
* Deep passion for solving customer business problems through IT solutions/services.
* Experience in developing and closing new accounts and meeting sales targets.
* Expertise in hardware resale and the technology industry.
* Strong relationships with top-tier partners like Cisco, Dell/EMC, HPE, Microsoft, AWS.
* Proven ability to acquire new enterprise clients with C-level relationships.
