We are looking for a highly skilled couture seamstress to join our team at our studio in Tenterden, Kent. Wild rose Couture is a family run womenswear brand that creates luxury made to measure and bespoke women’s evening wear, special occasion wear and bridal couture.
Your role will be construction/sewing of pieces to assist in the making of client orders and helping with the construction of new samples and toiles.
We are looking for someone who is skilled in garment construction from beginning to end and takes pride in their work with a love of luxury garment making. Candidates must be confident using industrial sewing machinery, be familiar with handling a wide range of fabrics including, silks, satins, lace, sequins, velvet, jacquard and stretch fabrics to achieve a high end finish.
If you have experience working with stretch fabric that is a great benefit, however if you are not familiar with stretch but have good skills working with non stretch fabric we are willing to train and develop your skills in this area too.
Hand sewing skills are also beneficial for fine finishing of garments to the highest standards.

Good communication skills will help you to work along side our designers and pattern cutters to create new sample collections and to meet client orders. We are looking for someone dedicated to creating garments of the highest quality and capable of working on bespoke items that will be individually made to meet the customers requirements, requiring adaptability to new designs and creative thinking and some flexibility in construction.
If you feel like this role is suitable for you and you have a good understanding and knowledge of luxury women’s garment making but are not experienced in all the areas mentioned we are willing to train a candidate with a dedicated and committed attitude to their work to help you become familiar with luxury garment making and fabrics you may not be experienced with.
Skills:
Skilled sewing to a high standard and finish using industrial sewing machines. E.g flatbed, zig zag, overlocker, embroidery.
Knowledge of how to work with an array of different fabrics including stretch fabrics. Silk satins, chiffons, crepe, tulle, velvet. Sequins, lace, jacquard, wool.
Good understanding of luxury garment construction methods.
Hand sewing skills for fine finishing. E.g. buttons, hook & eye, facings, zip finishing.
Comfortable working to client deadlines.
Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with other members of the team.
