Join our team as a Packaging Technologist and help shape the future of Holland & Barrett's own-brand products! In line with our strategic direction, this role supports packaging development across all product categories, including VHMS, Food, Sports, and Beauty.
The Role:
In this role, you'll be responsible for specifying, validating, implementing, and deploying innovative packaging solutions that meet technical, legal, quality, commercial, consumer, and sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing and delivering all structural packaging development across appointed category areas, inclusive of both NPD & EPD projects
2. Ensuring specification compliance to all necessary regulations and standards, carrying out factory & transit trials, as required
3. Responsible for tracking & reporting structural packaging project statuses
4. Contribute as an active member of the packaging team, supporting wider Packaging Design & Artwork teams, as well as wider H&B teams and external stakeholders
5. Support ESG & Compliance teams with necessary submissions, as required
Location:
This is a hybrid role based in London with travel required to our Nuneaton Hub (once a month/ad hoc) and occasionally to any other location of H&B, including adhoc international travel. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the offices.
The Person:
1. Experience in retail or FMCG packaging industry essential
2. Extensive packaging experience, across key packaging technologies
3. Results driven with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
4. Strong communication & influencing skills
5. A strong team player, adept at building effective relationships and stakeholder management
6. Artwork origination and print knowledge highly desirable
7. Relevant qualifications, such as Packaging Diploma from IOM3 or equivalent, desirable
