The role
As a Site Support Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team that supports the general day to day operations on site.
Day-to-day, you'll assist site where required including but not limited to loading and unloading operations, movement of stores and equipment's. You'll cover general hand duties, material handling equipment (MHE) operative, and stores controller for a small independent remote site from the larger Group in Northern Ireland. You'll also:
* Organise and maintain site recycling of waste in an environmental manner
* Maintenance and ordering of stock including checking of shelf life to ensure through-process control
* Control and plan all calibration and equipment for testing via sub-contractor to ensure that sufficient tools remain available to staff
* Manage and control all workshop consumables required to support staff
* Provide administrative support handling mail as well as arranging Parcelforce and Palletways collections, taking telephone calls, receiving customers when required, control of stationery and placing orders when necessary
Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time OR part time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Aldergrove.
Essential experience of the Site Support Operative:
* Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of warehousing and/or stores background
Qualifications for the Site Support Operative:
* Class "B1" Driving Licence
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
