About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Branch Librarian to join the Osborne Library branch on a permanent, full-time basis. The position is responsible for branch library operations to ensure the provision of an effective and comprehensive library and information service to the community.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Branch Librarian will include but are not limited to:
1. Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative community development and engagement-based activities and programs targeted to local community need.
2. Provide ongoing development of the library as a community space and place that supports and facilitates opportunities for literacy, lifelong learning, and building capacity in the community.
3. Contribute to the ongoing development of library services and the Community Services Business Unit via specific project teams as required and the strategic planning process.
4. Provide input and feedback for all branch library staff to contribute effectively to the overall operations and ongoing development of the City of Stirling Library Service.
About You
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply; all applications will be considered.
1. Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Science and Associate Membership of ALIA.
2. Demonstrated professional experience as a Librarian with team management capability.
3. A genuine commitment to the provision of high-quality customer experiences and a desire to raise the profile and perception of the City within the community.
4. Budgeting and financial management skills.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 7/8 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $96,731.43 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide or have the ability to obtain:
1. A copy of an Australian driving licence.
2. National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
3. Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
4. The right to work in Australia.
