KEY Accountabilities
1. Issue order confirmations to the customer showing the expected delivery date, and ensure orders are dispatched to the customer on time.
2. Liaise with the Production Administration and Purchasing departments ahead of the delivery date to obtain a progress report, and keep the appropriate Sales Manager informed of the situation.
3. Create pick lists and delivery notes for issue to Despatch and Shipping ensuring that any relevant instructions are also communicated.
4. Update the system to show an order has been dispatched.
5. Use the stock transfer system for stocks shipped to our US Service Center, and other contracted customers, and keep records updated.
6. Produce sales documentation for site services invoices, generate weekly and monthly reports as required, and maintain the online filing system.
7. Ad hoc administration duties, as required.
8. Provide absence cover in other areas within your capabilities as needed.
Required Profile
1. Previous experience in a sales environment is essential.
2. Good communication skills both written and verbal.
3. Good organiser with multi-tasking skills.
4. Computer literate and with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
5. Experience of using sales order processing software is an advantage.
6. Good team player, able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
7. Ability to work to strict deadlines.
8. Experience of an MRP system is an advantage.
