Role Summary A well-established Civil Engineering company is seeking an experienced & qualified Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to oversee compliance, implement best practices, & foster a strong safety culture across its operations The successful candidate will ensure all construction activities adhere to Health & Safety legislation, company policies & industry best practices whilst working closely with site teams, senior management & external regulatory bodies Key Responsibilities Develop, implement & maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures & risk assessments in line with legal & industry requirements Conduct regular site inspections, audits & investigations to identify hazards & ensure compliance Provide expert advice, guidance & training to management & site teams on Health & Safety matters Lead accident & incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified & corrective actions implemented Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, HSE guidelines & other relevant legislation Liaise with external bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), local authorities & industry organisations Develop and deliver Health & Safety training & toolbox talks for employees & subcontractors Monitor & report on key Health & Safety performance indicators, providing recommendations for improvement Keep up to date with industry developments & legislative changes to ensure ongoing compliance Promote a positive safety culture across the organisation Key Requirements (Must-Have) NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent). Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations, including CDM 2015 Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits & accident investigations.
