Are you an accomplished and dedicated leader committed to providing exceptional care for children and young people? We have an opportunity within a national service which has over 50 residential homes plus independent schools.
* New 2 bed children's home in Pontefract
* Ages 8-18
Role and Responsibilities
* This role will be best suited to an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys mentoring others and takes a considerate and progressive approach to leadership.
* You will be able to create a family environment for young people in line with our therapeutic parenting ethos, which encourages development through a warm and nurturing approach.
* With the full support of an experienced senior management team, care professionals and in-house psychology team, you will oversee all aspects of home running. You will promote the development of a high-quality, stimulating, and educationally rich environment in which children and young people can thrive.
* Hours of work are 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be considered.
* You will receive a 10% discretionary bonus per annum.
* £4000 Joining bonus, payable on successful registration.

You must have:
* Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification or Level 3 Residential Childcare.
* Two years' experience, within the past five years, working in children's residential care.
* One year's experience within the past five years, leading or supervising employees in a care home environment.
* Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
* Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
* A willingness to attain your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management.
* Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to safeguarding children and young people.
* Exceptional knowledge of safer recruitment practices.
* Proficient IT skills and experience in using Microsoft packages.
* A full, valid UK driver's license.
