Airlie View in Alyth supports 4 individuals with profound Learning Disabilities within a 24-hour accommodation-based setting.
The outreach service supports 4 individuals in their own homes in Alyth & Blairgowrie. Support hours vary between 8am - 11pm and include split shifts.
The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities, and we work in a person-centred way to assist them in achieving their outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Worker you will:
* Deliver a high standard of care for individuals in line with their outcomes plans.
* Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care with a person-centred approach.
* Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social, and other meaningful activities.
You Will
* Have a positive flexible attitude.
* Be a good communicator, both written and verbal.
* Have good time-keeping and organisational skills.
* Be able to demonstrate transferable skills relating to care.
* Have the right values, behaviours, and attitude to work effectively with individuals who require care and support.
* Possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this.
* Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of taking up the post.
* Have a full UK driver's licence.
