I am working alongside a national civil engineering contractor. They are looking to onboard a site supervisor to help deliver an ongoing project for a valued client. The scope of works you will be overseeing will include roads, drainage and kerbing works.
Site supervisor responsibilities:
* Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
* Set up the site and maintain site security (Maintain site hutting, hoardings and signboards to present a tidy and professional appearance).
* Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trades activities.
* Apply for temporary service connections.
* Interpret drawings and specification and communicate directions to site personnel, Subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensure that adequate method statements and risk assessments (RAs) are completed for high-risk activities.
* Request outstanding information from the professional team and confirm all verbal instructions.
* Assist with ensuring all necessary approvals are in place to allow project to progress without risk (E.g. Hording Licence).
* Review buildability and identify methods of construction with commercial or programme advantage where possible.
* With the Environmental Co-ordinator implement the environmental controls and work towards the objectives set out in the HSE plan (Civils).
* Attend site meetings, subcontract, and internal meetings - maintain and circulate notes and action points
Site supervisor requirements:
* Right to work in the UK.
* CSCS - Gold/ Black or white.
* SMSTS/ SSSTS.
* First aid.
* TWC/ TWS.
* Experience with highways or 278 works.
* Experience with drainage and earthworks.
* Full UK driving licence.
