Role: Locum Pharmacy Technician Banding: Band 3/4 Location: Sutton Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Rate: £13 - £17 per hour Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00- 5pm ( 60minute break) Friday:9:00am – 4:30pm (60 minute break) We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescriptions, providing patient counselling on the correct use of medications, and maintaining stock control. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our pharmacy operations, contributing to high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Duties and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for dispensing medication accurately according to prescriptions and ensuring proper labeling. You will prepare and organize medications for collection or delivery, assist in receiving and storing pharmaceutical stock, and conduct routine stock checks while maintaining inventory records. You’ll provide support and advice to patients on prescribed medications, working closely with a pharmacist. Additionally, you will help manage controlled drugs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintain a clean, organized dispensary area in line with health and safety policies. Collaboration with healthcare professionals is essential to ensure safe and efficient service delivery, and you will maintain accurate records for audits and reporting. You will also assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing patient medication profiles, while attending training sessions to stay updated with industry standards. Qualifications and Experience: Band 3 Pharmacy Assistant Requirements: Must have NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services. Duties: Dispensary duties only. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services for Pharmacy Assistants. Band 4 Pharmacy Technician Requirements: Must have NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
