WHAT TO EXPECT
We are currently hiring for the position of an EDU Validation Engineer to join the Design Validation (DV) Team here at JLR. In the role, you will be responsible for mechanical development, performance and functional verification and durability sign off as part of Power Unit design verification plan (DVP).
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Principally responsible for delivery of power unit functional, durability & attribute validation testing, ensuring validation test activity is delivered on time, and to the required test data quality and delivery standards.
2. Ensure tests executed to correct procedures & operating conditions, accurately and produce high quality data.
3. Establish, maintain and communicate accurate test plans, that clearly identify the timing and specific requirements of test facilities required.
4. Compile accurate technical reports for DV tests as evidence for component and system sign-off and communicated clearly to all stakeholders.
5. Support relevant technical reviews and lead/support issue resolution through established processes and standard JLR quality tools (AIMS/8D).
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
In order to be considered for this position you will need to have come from a background in which you have considerable experience in writing test reports. You will also need to have experience dealing with issue resolution, as well as project management.
1. Strong technical background with knowledge of power unit engineering, components and systems.
2. Experience of component/system design and validation.
3. Understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within a product engineering environment.
