Within this team, Fundraising Operations serves as the backbone—managing key processes that ensure seamless and effective fundraising activities. General Position Summary As a Fundraising Operations Coordinator, you will be at the heart of these efforts, handling donor income and expenditure while maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of The Raiser’s Edge and ActionKit databases. If you thrive in deadline-driven environments, enjoy problem-solving, and have a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you Essential Responsibilities Supporter Experience Assist with supporter enquiries via phone, email, and post. Contribute to implementing supporter engagement strategies, ensuring a positive donor experience. Gift Processing Process income received into the bank daily. ● Assist in processing online gifts and acknowledgments during peak periods. ● Support the Fundraising Operations Manager to reconcile monthly income. ● Prepare data for monthly Gift Aid claims. ● Lead the administration of legacy gifts. Data Integrity ● Contribute to the upkeep, maintenance, and efficiency of The Raiser’s Edge and ActionKit databases. ● Oversee data imports from internal and external sources. ● Conduct regular diagnostics to verify database integrity. Fundraising Support ● Assist with procurement of new vendors and platforms. ● Assist with training and support to the fundraising team for effective database usage. ● Positively contribute towards delivering the fundraising team’s annual targets and plans. Compliance ● Maintain Gift Aid declarations ensuring records are complete and accurate following HMRC and GDPR. ● Maintain marketing consent records following GDPR. ● Act as a champion for best practices in data capture and data management. ● Stay informed of d ata p rotection r egulations, Gift Aid legislation, and Fundraising Regulator guidelines. Supervisory Responsibility None Accountability Reports T o: Fundraising Operations Manager Works closely with: M embers of the Fundraising Operations Team, the wider Fundraising Team in Europe, the Corporate Finance Team, and US-based co lleagues. Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills Proven experience working with fundraising CRMs or relational data base s, managing high volumes of data and diverse interactions. Experience with The Raiser’s Edge is a plus but not essential. P roficien t in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to review and manipulate datasets. Understanding of data protection regulations, ensuring compliance across activities. Experience in processing donations and preparing Gift Aid claims (desirable). Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions The position is based in Edinburgh and may involve occasional national travel.
