What's involved with this role: Interim Lawyer – Legal Services Job Ref: Sheffield 0008 FCB3 / 1 Pay Rate: Up to £47.00 per hour PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 36 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Sheffield Hybrid working Qualified Housing Lawyer or legal executive is required with experience of housing matters including various possession claims, housing disrepair, anti-social behaviour and homelessness, with preferably some local government knowledge. Qualifications: A Solicitor, either a current practising certificate or eligible to apply for a practising certificate, or a qualified Barrister or a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, or. Possessing an equivalent qualification gained in another jurisdiction. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Good time management & organisation. Experience in dealing with development plot sales and advising clients on all aspects of residential development; advising on and acting in residential transactions on all aspects of residential conveyancing matters including dealing acquisitions, disposals, lease extensions; variation of restrictive covenant etc. Experience in local authority land dealings is not essential and will consider private practice background for the right candidate. Proficient advocate with good drafting skills. Experience managing of housing disrepair caseload an advantage. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
