The School and Role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated General Cover Supply Teacher to work in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate educators to gain experience in a range of secondary schools. We work with a diverse range of secondary schools and colleges, known for their academic excellence and support. Our client schools are celebrated for their inclusivity and commitment to supporting students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Most schools have great public transport links and provide on-site parking.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Maintain a positive learning environment and ensure high standards of student behavior.
* Adapt to different classroom settings and engage with pupils of all abilities.
* Follow school policies and procedures to ensure continuity in teaching and learning.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching in the UK (preferred but not essential).
* Flexibility, resilience, and a passion for education.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* Ability to work across different age groups and subjects.
* Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).
All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
