Contract Role: 6 months rolling
Location: Acton, West London
Rate: £27.68 paye (+ 16.59% holiday) or £36.91 umbrella
Day Shift: 7.15am to 3.15pm Mon-Thurs and 7.15am to 12.15pm on Fridays
Hours: 35 hours per week
Position: Fitter/Welder
The main role is the reclamation and repair of steel train components by welding. The requirement is evidence of previous codings on MIG, TIG, and aluminium welding, along with relevant experience in a welding environment.
You are required to be able to read and work to written work instructions and engineering drawings, and to use a range of engineering measuring equipment.
There will be a requirement to dismantle and assemble components for repair preparation, which will require the use of basic hand and pneumatic tools. Additionally, the use of overhead cranes and other workshop equipment will be necessary, for which training will be provided.
Desirable: NVQ level 3
