Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is 37 hours over 5 week days. The hours can be flexible at times to cover the needs of the service.
The HCSW will assist with patients' care needs before, during and following clinic appointments. When the clinic activity is low, the post holder will support patient care in the OPSS in patient wards and be aligned to ward 14. Experience in a care setting would be advantageous.
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team in Older Peoples Services requires an enthusiasm for caring for Older People and clear communication skills. IT and organisational skills are required.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde encourages applications from all sections of the community. We promote a culture of inclusion across the organisation and are proud of the diverse workforce we have.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, NHSGGC has pledged its commitment to being a Forces Friendly Employer. We support applications from across the Armed Forces Community, recognising military skills, experience and qualifications during the recruitment and selection process.
Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
All applications should be made via the 'Apply now' button.
