£30,060 – £33,366 p.a., plus benefits
The Council is recruiting for an HR Assistant to support our small human resources team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all HR related queries from managers and staff, providing support and assistance on a range of HR matters, such as: terms and conditions, absence management and training, and will lead on the Council’s recruitment processes.
You will maintain and update the HR system, iTrent, ensuring that employee information is input accurately and in time for the monthly payroll deadlines, preparing contracts of employment and variation letters.
With 4 GCSE’s (grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths, you will have previous experience in a similar HR administration role, and you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the administrative activities within the HR function. Previous experience of using HR systems, ideally iTrent, is desirable. You will be organised, methodical, have high attention to detail, and be able to work in a confidential and professional manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to be trained on the Council’s IT systems is essential.
