A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established, thriving veterinary group based in the picturesque seaside and port town of Hartlepool, County Durham. With roots dating back to 1950, this dynamic group has grown to encompass four successful small animal practices, renowned for providing expert care and building long-lasting client relationships.
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic RVN who shares their commitment to excellence in animal care. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be eager to contribute to the growth and success of the practice. The position offers the chance to build rapport with a loyal client base and develop a rewarding role within a supportive team environment.
This varied role involves nurse consultations, theatre work, and opportunities to carry out schedule 3 procedures if desired. The team is passionate about fostering individual growth, with several RVNs currently pursuing certificates in areas such as medicine, anaesthesia, and surgical nursing. The practice actively encourages team members to focus on their areas of interest and share their expertise with the wider team.
The group has made significant investments in cutting-edge technology, including advanced blood machines, ultrasound, and digital x-rays (including dental x-rays). They regularly perform both routine and advanced procedures, such as orthopaedic surgeries. Exciting plans are also underway for a potential relocation to a new site equipped with a CT machine later this year. The group is working towards achieving cat-friendly status and is expanding its services to accommodate exotic patients.
The position offers flexibility with hours, whether full-time (four days a week, 8 am to 7 pm) or part-time. A share of the Saturday rota is preferred, but there is no requirement to work Sundays or bank holidays.
This is an exciting time to join a growing and forward-thinking practice with a reputation for excellence. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and become part of this dedicated team, get in touch to find out more.
