Shared Lives Carers are paid to open their homes to support Adults from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or are living with dementia and older people. For Carers it provides: A flexible, interesting job with a fantastic work life balance Great opportunities for skills development, working as a self-employed professional with support from our team Payment depends on the support needs of the Adult: £350 to £640 per week, with significant tax breaks You can offer three types of service from your home; however, we are only recruiting for Long Term and Short Breaks currently. Long term – where the Adult would live with you and your family Short Breaks (respite) – where the Adult would come and stay for the odd night, weekend or week Day Support – where you would support an Adult, based from your home, for up to 5 hours.
