Apply today and be part of something bigger Key Responsibilities: Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals. Assembling mechanical and electromechanical components to precise specifications. Utilising engineering tools and equipment, including torquing. Identifying, measuring, and modifying components to ensure an optimal fit. Maintaining strict quality standards, performing self-checks on completed work. Detecting and reporting substandard or defective parts. Supporting material ordering (MTOs) for both internal and site work needs. Assisting in prototyping and development with supervisors and managers. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workspace. Adhering to company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols. Providing mentorship and support to team members when needed. Meeting deadlines while upholding quality and health & safety standards. Please note the above duties and responsibilities are not intended to be an exhaustive list. Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in switchgear assembly or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment. Proven experience in the assembly of mechanical equipment and electromechanical systems. Strong technical ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Hands-on experience with engineering tools and equipment, such as punches, saws, and benders. Experience in on-site installations or field service work. Desirable Skills, Qualification and Experience: Electrical knowledge alongside mechanical expertise. Prior experience in electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar fields. Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). We are looking for individuals who are hands-on, motivated, and eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment. While the ability to work independently is valuable, we also foster a collaborative workplace where support is always available. A positive attitude, flexibility for overtime when required, and a practical approach to problem-solving will set you up for success. Attention to detail, self-checking work for quality, and completing simple manufacturing documentation are part of the role, but dont worrytraining and support will be provided to help you excel.
