Our client, a well-established, national Top 50 UK Law firm, is looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their highly successful commercial litigation team in Leeds City Centre.
This role is to work alongside their other commercial disputes lawyers specialising in public procurement, as well as lawyers in the commercial team, in providing support and advice in relation to public procurement law to clients including central and local government, national agencies, NHS bodies, education institutions, charities and utility companies, as well as suppliers to the public sector and utilities from SMEs to PLCs.
They have an impressive and growing client list, and you will work closely with a number of the largest public sector bodies, as well as leading suppliers. They aim to provide clients with pragmatic and commercially focused advice, and we are looking for a lawyer who can put their specialist knowledge of procurement disputes into practice and find practical solutions to support our clients' objectives.
Main duties:
1. Advising a wide range of clients in the early stages of a potential dispute to representing clients in dispute resolution processes whether through the High Court, arbitration and other tribunals, mediation, and other ADR processes.
2. Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and market intermediaries.
3. Assisting partners and senior lawyers with more substantial matters.
4. Building and maintaining effective client relationships.
About you:
1. 6+ years PQE.
2. Broad commercial litigation experience.
3. Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage tasks within set timeframes.
4. A commercial, solution-driven, and client-focused approach.
