Home based role – 2 days a week in Birmingham and Customer Visits as required.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Category Management team within our Poultry and Added-Value Division. As an experienced Category Manager, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role within the category management function at 2SFG.
You will be directly responsible for managing a key strategic account within the UKP customer portfolio, along with additional smaller accounts, based on the business’ requirements.
You will get exposure to a broad range of categories, functions and initiatives, giving you the experience and profile required to help you progress further within the business.
Some responsibilities include:
* Responsible for owning, developing, and leading the strategic category agenda with your designated customers
* Establish proactive, collaborative customer relationships, built on trust and objectivity, aiming to be the “go-to” supplier for Category & Insight, ensuring a broad range of contacts within the customer up to a senior level
* Providing actionable insight-based recommendations and category growth plans aligned to customer requirements, and delivering against 2SFG commercial objectives
* Responsible for leading and delivering customer specific strategy and innovation days alongside commercial and NPD
* Ensure the voice of the shopper/consumer is considered in all senior level customer strategy sessions, including Top2Tops and business tenders

ABOUT YOU:

* Experienced in a similar role or Category Executive position looking for progression.
* Action oriented storyteller; creates the So What from the insights and sets the agenda with the retailer and 2sfg
* Trade and consumer marketing experience would be preferable
* Can demonstrate sound commercial understanding and experience
* Previous experience of market research and Insight generation preferred
* Experience user of data such as Kantar, IRI, or Dunnhumby.
