We are currently recruiting for a leading global manufacturer, seeking to employ a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) for their site in Kings Lynn.
Contract Type: Temp to perm contract.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Salary: Competitive salary offered depending on skills and experience.
Job Summary
To provide a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service, improving the reliability of equipment through pre-planned maintenance and contributing to a safe working site. To effect mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment, buildings, and infrastructure commensurate with the applicable level of skills and training.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance as required to ensure equipment reliability.
2. Attend to faults and breakdowns as required, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
3. Fabrication, construction, and installation of plant and equipment.
4. TIG, MIG, Stick Welding/pipe fitting.
5. Assist in commissioning new equipment from time to time.
6. Provide out of hours “call out” facility on a Rota basis with other team members (once trained for site call out).
7. Behave in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation, and assist in ensuring all contractors comply with H&S standards.
8. Ensure safe working practices are adopted at all times and rectify, make safe, and inform Supervisor or Manager of any concerns.
9. Be committed, both at work and during training, and actively contribute to the review process.
Education & Experience
1. Multi Skilled Technician - Mechanical/Electrical.
2. Motivated to learning and development.
3. Good written and oral communication skills.
4. Experience of problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
1. Mechanical / Electrical Apprenticeship.
2. City and Guilds qualifications in relevant subjects.
