Digital Category procure the IT infrastructure, software, hardware, services and anything further technology-related to support all of the DWP internal and external programmes and services. From buying laptops for DWP staff to supporting UK-wide work capability and health assessments, from data hosting to networks, we help source, procure and manage the technology that underpins the vital services. We work closely with Digital colleagues, providing the commercial support; cover and guidance to aid Digital colleagues achieve their outcomes. Job description This role sits within Hybrid Cloud & Security Services, who work with the largest Public Cloud vendors such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure and has a strategy to move to 100% Cloud. We deliver leading-edge activity in this area and you will focus on supporting our strategic intent, managing a portfolio of suppliers in securing value for money deals from some of the largest vendors in Hybrid Cloud along with the associated service-based suppliers supporting migration to Cloud. We require driven, dynamic individuals who can deliver commercial solutions at pace. You will provide commercial advice, guidance and leadership within the commercial team and wider DWP stakeholders across a large portfolio of work in Digital Group, working to challenging time scales; delivering core IT services as well as supporting transformation activities. You will be pro-active and demonstrate strong commercial knowledge and understanding of the procurement process and the Cabinet Office Sourcing Playbook and, work in accordance with the DWP commercial operating model.
